For example, if a shipper emails requesting a price quote, the AI can process the request and deliver a quote automatically. The system can also be trained to handle other common tasks, such as managing load tenders, scheduling pickups, and providing shipment tracking updates.
This technology is a game-changer for shippers who prefer email communication. C.H. Robinson highlights how it eliminates a longstanding barrier to automation. Previously, only shippers using the company's digital platform could access instant features like quotes. Now, email users can enjoy the same speed and cost benefits. The company estimates they receive over 11,000 daily emails requesting truckload freight quotes alone.
