Get shut down. Change the name. Put the same trucks back on the road. Ontario regulators say that’s exactly what happened after a carrier with repeated safety violations resurfaced under a new identity. Seven of nine trucks had already been placed out of service.
The hurricane is gone. The freight problems aren’t. Isaias has weakened, but flooding, downed trees, power outages and debris are still disrupting parts of the Southeast.
The first Atlantic hurricane of the season is already knocking on the Gulf Coast’s door. But the freight impacts are starting before landfall.
