The top job in trucking just opened up. Chris Spear is out as president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations, ending a decade-long run leading the industry’s most powerful trade group. ATA said the departure is effective immediately. No reason was given.

Freight just made it onto the front of an SEC basketball jersey. Axle Logistics, a Knoxville-based 3PL, is becoming the first official jersey patch partner in Tennessee basketball history.
🚚 Texas, Mexican CDLs and Cabotage
Texas is taking a harder look at who is legally allowed to haul freight inside the state. At a hearing this week, lawmakers heard testimony about Mexican CDLs, cabotage and whether foreign-issued commercial licenses are being used beyond their intended purpose.
